HAZRAT KHWAJA MOINUDDIN HASAN CHISHTI SANJARI AJMERI [R.A]

               *“Ilaahi ta-abd-astaana-e-yaar-rahe,Ye-asra-hai-gharibo’n-ka-barqaraar rahe”*

Birth & Family

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (Persian: خواجہ معین الدین چشتی ) also known as Garib Nawaz (Persian: غریب نواز ), was born on around Monday 14th of Rajab 536 Hijri/ 1st Feburary 1143 in Sanjar ,a village of khorasan (other accounts say Chisht in Sistan, which is also known as Sajistan in Eastern Persia).Modern day Iran.

His paternal genealogy is related to Hazrat Imam Hussain [HUSSAINI] and that of his maternal to Hazrat Imam Hasan [HASANI] and thus he is a direct descendant of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa ﷺ.

His great grand-father, HAZRAT KHWAJA AHMED HASAN (R.A.), migrated from Usqar (Iraq) to Sanjar. His father HAZRAT SYED KHWAJA GHAYASUDDIN HASAN (R.A.) was well-educated and trained. He was an accomplished man, very pious personality and a well to do and influential gentleman, a great Sufi of his time.

His mother, HAZRAT BIBI MAAH NOOR (R.A.), alias HAZRAT BIBI UMMUL WARA (R.A.), was the daughter of HAZRAT SYED DAUD Ibn ABDULLAH AL-HAMBALI.

HAZRAT BIBI UMMUL WARA (R.A.) is quoted as saying "As soon as "I conceived this beloved son, Moinuddin, the house seemed to be full of blessing and prosperity. Our enemies turned into friends and
